Mountain Goat

Our area has a healthy and growing population of trophy Mountain Goats with no hunting pressure.  Our remote locations offer excellent trophy class opportunities for record Billies.

Many of these goats in the high mountain passes and alpine lakes have lived out their lives, some never setting eyes upon man. In our area we have one such region which has never been hunted.  Another secluded area can be accessed by floatplane only, and possibility of a record book Mountain Goat is high, as the last goat harvested was about six years ago by Rick Young.  If flying is not in your budget, we have just the spot for you, a boat access only place; and it is an excellent hunt to combine with a trophy moose.

During your goat hunt you may be on top of the world hunting out of a mountain tent, out of our main camp, or our cabins at Ghost Lake.  We hunt our goats between 5000′ and 7000′ making our way along the ridge sometimes glassing for hours.  To hunt Mountain Goat, you do not have to be an athlete, however, you should be in good mental and physical condition and never wear new boots!  This hunt can take anywhere from several hours to ten days.
