Moose Hunts

Cameron Ridge Bungalows, our main camp, is accessible by vehicle.   It is a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive north east of Williams Lake. The cabins sit at 4500′ with an unbelievable panoramic view of the Cariboo Mountains.  There are two guest cabins, a kitchen and a shower house with washer and dryer.  Power is generated by a 4000Kw Onan generator. The cabins are all heated with energy-efficient wood stoves.  Moose, fall black bear and goat are hunted from this location by 4×4, ATV, horseback or on foot.

Ghost Lake Cabins

Ghost Lake Cabins are an incredible place to hunt both trophy moose and trophy mountain goat. There are two cabins situated at the end of the six-mile lake accessed by boat or float plane only. The upper Matthew River valley is where we do our moose hunts using our Jon boat with a jet for access.  This hunt is exclusive and we take only two hunters per year here.  The fishing for rainbow trout is incredible, so bring along your fishing rod.

Mossy Antler Cabin is located on the north arm of the largest fjord lake in the world, Quesnel Lake. We do most of our spring grizzly, black bear and the last fall moose hunt from this camp. The cabin right on the lake accessed by boat or float plane.  It is a two-story, three bedroom comfortable cabin with a barrel wood stove for heat and a small gen-set for power.   As it is a 30 mile boat ride there is a weight restriction of 75 lbs per person.

Includes an economy class flight from Europe, North America or Mexico, licenses, tags, taxes, royalty fees, GOABC HPF, applicable permits (CITES), 8 day fishing license, layover hotel in Vancouver and/or Williams Lake , airport pick up/drop off, experienced guide, quality food, accommodation, trophy care, beer, wine and a black bear.  It does not include any excess baggage fee, taxidermist or trophy shipping.  We hunt the many logging slashes and avalanche chutes out of the Mossy Antler Cabin on Quesnel Lake.

Our spring black bear we hunt from the Mossy Antler Cabin on Quesnel Lake glassing the logging slashes and avalanche chutes by boat, ATV and on foot.  For the fall we hunt from Cameron Ridge the many logging slashes which are full of huckleberries and blue berries bushes.

Goat Hunts

Our goat hunts are from three different locations: Cameron Ridge, Ghost Lake (boat and float plane access only) and Mitchell Lake (float plane access only).  Within each of these locations the goats have hardly been hunted over the past 30 years.  An excellent opportunity for a trophy goat!!

Incidentals

A non-refundable 40% deposit is required to book your hunt to ensure your dates.  The balance is due 30 days prior to your hunt dates, to be paid by cashiers cheque or bank draft; personal cheques will not be accepted unless otherwise authorized.  An invoice for the rest of your hunt cost, directions, and any paperwork required for border crossing will be sent to you.

Black Bear Add On               US$750

A non-hunter fee                   US$175/day

Rifle rental                           US$50/day

It is advised to get travel insurance as well as trip cancellation.

The hunt is not guaranteed and if you wound an animal every effort is used to retrieve it.  If it cannot be found that animal will be considered yours and the hunt for that particular specie will be over.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason a client cancels his/her hunt, it can be taken one year later.  If Mountain Spirit Outfitters cancels your hunt for any reason your deposit will be returned.
